The dedicated individuals who comprise our veterinary team are what make it possible for us to accomplish our mission of the best in quality veterinary care for your pets and also exceptional customer service to you. Our team consists of 6 veterinarians, 8 reception staff, 1medical records processor, 13 veterinary technicians, 1 kennel manager and a hospital administrator. We value each of these team members as equally important, for they all play a critical role in providing our total service to you and your pets.
Following are the steps we take to ensure that each team member is able to provide you with the best veterinary care and service possible:
- All new staff undergoes a scheduled 3 to 6 week training and testing program (depending on prior experience) to ensure that we provide a consistent and quality service to you. Training manuals, training checklists and testing per position type are used.
- Customer service (staff) meetings are held weekly to discuss our good service, poor service and ideas for improvement that occurred during the week.
- Continuing education on both veterinary medicine and customer service topics is provided both in-house and at outside professional meetings for not only the veterinarians (12 or more hours per year), but also for the entire staff.
- Doctor membership in these professional organizations: American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Maryland Veterinary Medical Association
